Cozzette Brushes Review

May 03, 2015

One of my lovely mentors, Erica Carr, recommended these brushes to me a couple of months ago and I am glad she did because these brushes ARE TO DIE FOR. They're so soft that I want a blanket made out of the bristles. That's not weird at all, right?

These brushes were created and designed by the talented Roque Cozzette. The brushes with dark brown bristles are actually made with luxury synthetic squirrel bristles! I was completely fooled, I thought they had natural bristles because of how soft they are and the different tones in the bristles. The brushes with light brown/orange bristles are made with luxury synthetic sable bristles and are equally as soft.

I have the D200 Bullet Brush and the S165 Large Eye Contour Brush. I've used them once on my sister and I already love them. I need MORE.

D200 Bullet Brush ($16)

From Cozzette: "D200 Bullet Brush has an amazingly dense pointed shape to target the lash line, that produces a smoky effect with eye shadows in record time."

The D200 is perfect for smokey eyes like the description states. The shape of this brush is brilliant. I can use the brush on its side at an angle to blend out shadows on the lash line or softly define the crease, or I can use the very tip and get a more defined crease.

S165 Large Eye Contour Brush ($19)

From Cozzette: "A slightly larger structure allows this contour brush to blend eye shadows, concealer, and is an excellent setting brush in small areas. Designed with the softest faux squirrel fibers available through modern technology."

This brush is also AMAZING! It has so many different uses. I can use this on people with larger eyelids to get a wash of color, blend out any harsh lines, or very softly apply color in the crease. But, my favorite way to use this is actually to apply highlighter on the cheekbones! I also love using this to apply RCMA No Color under the eyes or around the nose to set the makeup.

Here's a reference picture so you can see the size of the brushes.

Cozzette brushes are an absolute must have in any makeup artist's kit. You can buy Cozzette directly through their website, at Frends Beauty Supply, or at Nigel Beauty Emporium.
