Ready, Kett Sett, Go! | Kett Set Colorless Powder Review

March 24, 2015 in Reviews, Powder

Welcome back!

If you're reading this, you clearly liked my previous review on the Face Atelier Ultra Foundation, so now you're back for more. I'm going to talk about the Kett Set Colorless Powder today. It's only the best setting powder ever.

This powder is fragrance free, paraben free, silicone free, and oil free. It is "designed to perform under the lights of scrutiny."

This powder comes in a loose version as well as a pressed version, which I have. It has NO COLOR; t's not translucent and it's not white. You might think this is similar to the well known Make Up For Ever HD Powder, but the two are not comparable. Kett Sett can be used on everyone. And I mean EVERYONE, from the palest skin tone to the richest skin tone. It won't turn ashy on rich skin tones, which is common with "translucent" powders. The difference between this no color powder and a "translucent" powder is that this has no pigment, while "translucent" powder has a slight flesh tone to match most skin tones. Kett Sett can be used in flash photography and it will not give you a white cast because it is TALC based, not mica or silica based. I can do a blog post on makeup and flash photography if you'd like! Tell me in the comments.

I like to use this powder to set foundation and to touch up. I LOVE using this on sets because there's no flyaway powder particles. And it's faster. I prefer this over my other favorite, RCMA No Color Powder; I hate dealing with loose powder on sets. The texture of this is very dry (duh) and stiff so you won't get a ton of powder on your brush if you swirl it in the pan and you won't see a bunch of flying powder particles.

My favorite thing about this is that I can use this on top of cream/liquid products for the base (foundation, blush, shading, & highlight) and not lose or change the color of anything that I already put down. Amazing!

You can use this on yourself throughout the day to touch up your makeup and it won't look chalky or cakey. And the best part? It won't and can't oxidize like other powders! Kett Sett is perfect for touching up without adding any extra color or coverage to your face.

You can find Kett at pro beauty stores or directly through their site.

Ingredients: TALC, CALCIUM CARBONATE, TRIETHYLHEXANOIN, SODIUM, DEHYDROACETATE.
